Christian is a Partner and currently serves as the seconded Head of Legal Strategy and Operations. A specialist medical negligence solicitor, he brings over 25 years of experience handling an extensive range of complex clinical negligence cases. His expertise has been recognised in the Legal 500, where he has been listed as a recommended claimant solicitor in the Northwest.
Qualifying in 1998 after training in Chester and North Wales, Christian developed a strong interest in group litigation early in his career. He acted as a lead claimant solicitor in the MMR Litigation, and from 2010 to 2015 focused on gynaecological and urogynaecological claims. During this time, he represented several hundred clients in the George Rowland Litigation against Liverpool Women’s and Aintree Hospitals; an investigation into decades of treatment provided to women in Merseyside, with specific emphasis on the introduction and use of mesh in treating stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. His work has secured hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation for his clients.

Christian has long championed constructive engagement with the NHS, seeking to resolve cases efficiently and proportionately. He has played a key role in developing bespoke ADR protocols for group actions and is a strong believer in ensuring access to justice across all claim values. He is particularly passionate about maintaining high-quality representation for lower-value medical negligence claims through streamlined, well-optimised processes.
In his current strategic role, Christian focuses on driving change across the legal teams and embedding improved operational practices. He chairs the Innovation Group and contributes to the AI Working Group, exploring how emerging technologies can be used responsibly and effectively to enhance case progression and client service.
