Katy brings nearly two decades of post-qualification experience across medical negligence and personal injury law, with extensive experience in progressing cases to trial. She is known for her rigorous approach, strong technical ability, and careful case preparation, ensuring each claim is handled with precision from outset to resolution.

Client care sits at the heart of Katy’s practice. She places great importance on building trusted relationships with clients and their families, offering reassurance and clarity following traumatic events while working strategically to achieve the best possible results.

Alongside a broad clinical negligence caseload, Katy has developed particular expertise in orthopaedic claims, cosmetic surgery matters, and paediatric claims. She also plays an active role in supporting the development of colleagues within the Clinical Negligence department, contributing to litigation training and skills development.

Katy has acted in complex, high-profile litigation, including a notable case that progressed to the Court of Appeal, where an application to appeal was refused and her client secured compensation exceeding £350,000. Outside of casework, she is a peer supporter for the LawCare charity, offering confidential one-to-one support to members of the legal profession. She also champions mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
