A 44 year old man has been awarded £7,000 after errors were made when his dentist failed to properly re-root fill the tooth.
Terence Coles, of Leicester, attended his dentist, Dr Himesh Amin, of Knighton Dental Practice, Clarendon Park, Leicester in December 2016, as he was having tooth ache and needed a tooth re-root filling.
There was a failure to do this which resulted in Mr Coles suffering avoidable pain and loss of amenity, including pain and sensitivity. When brushing his teeth, the tooth was sore and would ache.
As a result of the negligence of the dentist, Mr Coles required a re-root filling, potential apical surgery and crown replacement.
Mr Coles contacted Patient Claim Line to pursue a medical negligence claim against his dentist. The case settled in October 2018 and Mr Coles was awarded £7,000.
