A statement from Adrian Denson, Chief Legal Officer
During these unprecedented times, I would like to reassure all our existing and potential Patient Claim Line customers that we remain open, and operating ‘business as usual’ – with additional measures in place to protect the health of our team members and to ensure we’re doing our part in stopping the spread of this virus. All of the legal advisors in our call centre, and all of our lawyers in our legal team, are now working remotely from home. We are contactable via all the usual means should you need our help.
Cases are progressing as usual, and we expect minimum disruption to our service. However, due to the current situation, some parts of the claims process – such as obtaining medical records – have understandably slowed down. It is therefore important to notify us about your case as soon as possible to avoid any further delays and to ensure that once things start moving again, your case is at the front of the queue.
Thankfully, the people that handle cases for the other side are not frontline workers. They are a team of claims handlers and lawyers who, like us, are also working remotely. Therefore, we’re still able to notify, negotiate and investigate cases during this time, crucially without impacting or disrupting frontline services which remain focussed on battling this virus on behalf of us all.
